A flicker of fire
A flicker of fire
a ray of hope
as the fire burns
as light brightens in the dark
as melted wax drips off the candle
as we remember you at vigils
even as your freedom is denied
even as your movements are curtailed
even as your body is imprisoned
never will your mind be contained
never will your thoughts be chained
never has your spirit cried
for we will never forget you
for we will not stop until you regain freedom
for we will not be silent until unjust laws are removed
